Hey man, thanks for helping me pick out which video card I should buy. the 9700Pro is like, freakin aweseome. I've been able to crank all my games up to max and go past 1024x768 resolution without getting choppy in ANY games! What the hell was I thinking wanting to buy a new nvidia card

no problem guys
I just hate seeing people spend their money on hardware that sounds good, but actually isn't. 9700/9800's are the best cards out there, yet MUCH slower cards are being sold for the same price
I took my own advice, and purchased a 9800pro a few days ago at futureshop (it's on sale for you canadians out there) and it totally rocks
Glad it worked out for you guys

how much is on sale for at FS? Dare I ask...I got mine at Christmas and it was not cheap....
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh
I just looked online and the card is on for $299! I think that I paid $379 (or $449 I can't remember) before Christmas....

yeah...I know they were pretty expensive before Christmas time. I was going to hold a few more months and see if they got cheaper, but $299 CDN for a 9800pro was something I couldn't refuse.
