Wow, it's nice to know that that multi-million dollar tank is being used to crush the cars of those grabbed about 10 2x4s. Notice they didn't even bother to take the 2x4s off of the roof and give them back to who properly owns them. :roll:

A lesson that we just can't seem to learn. The US army wasn't designed (for lack of a better word) for a police action. It was designed during the cold war to fight against the soviets, a major tank and air war across the fields of Europe. They weren't trained to be a police force. Give a bunch a 20 something-year-old kids a tank and tell them to 'keep the peace' of something vague like that, and this what you get. And let's be real, you would get this from any country if the situation was the same. The only soldiers suitable for police actions are specialized soldiers that have been extensively trained for just that mission. We don't have a branch of our Armed Forces that is both sizable enough and trained for this kind of mission, that's one the reasons why this mission is doomed. Winning of hearts and minds is a myth. We should have knocked off Saddam and just left, they would have had a very brief civil war, and all this would be over by now.

Do you think being shot at almost every day is fun, having to deal with looters, and the stress that this car next to me could be a suicide bomber is fun? No, I don't think so. These kids have been there for a year maybe more. I say let them have their fun here and there. By fun I dont mean abusing troops or civilians, crushing a car of a looter is reasonable IMO. As HT said the media always twists the truth and never shows what really happened. You don't think shit like this happened in every war, of course it did. Troops raped vietnamese farm girls or whatever you want to call them during the Vietnam war. War is bad we all know that and shit will happen, most likely because of nut jobs who were crazy before they joined or crazy because of the stress.

Plus we aren't over there, we are lucky enough to be sitting home using the computer. They would much rather trade spots with us any day just remember that.
