Seinfeld on DVD

Postby hightimber » Wed May 26, 2004 9:24 am

Has anyone else read the reports that Seinfeld, in its entirety, is scheduled to release on DVD this fall?

This, I'd like to add to my DVD library.

Those same reports state that Jerry Seinfeld has personally already made one BILLION dollars off of Seinfeld. That's incredible. Not bad for a former stand-up comic.

yea, not too shabby.
I didn't hear about that DVD release. Will it be like 5-6 episodes per CD? Are they selling the whole set together as a box set?

yes, they are working on a dvd. nobody can say for sure when it will be out. it was delayed all of these years because they couldn't get the other members involved (presumably due to a financial dispute) to provide additional material.

I've also heard that the DVD's are being delayed as part of the syndication agreement. Those that bought the ep's to air did not want a DVD release to impact the advertising profits generated by airing the ep's.

I saw him on Leno, he said the reason it took so long is because they wanted every episode to have commentary from the crew and producers and writers and blah blah blah. HE said they wanted to add so much stuff that it took a long time... for what it;s worth...

Hell its on 10 times a day, if you had some kind of episode list and a TIVO, you could probably get all of em in a couple months.

Yeah, I realize he still is. What I was trying to impart was that for a guy who was just a "regular" stand-up comic in his humble beginnings, he's done "all right" for himself.
