Nooooooo Soprano's wasn't that good :(

They cleaned up the big NYC mess, but not in a way I had hoped.....

I can honestly say, I am disappointed in the show, the writing has not been as good as it should be or has been in the past....perhaps it is time to move on.

Have you tried six feet under?

It is a bit strange, but it held my interest for a year. :)

I loved tonights episode, I was really on edge. Did anyone catch (it was pretty blatant) the Rommel/Tony Soprano connection at the beginning?

Yea, and the picture at paulies house, the general comparision.

I disagree though, for a season ending episode, it didn't have enough action or leave you waiting for next years mini-season.

What's the deal with Junior, has he really lost it? Tony went looking for guidance, and got nadda.

PS - You knew tony was going to do what he did, after he met with his shrink....

It was like "Oh noooo, she authorized the hit!!"

I thought Christopher was screwed, when phil leotardo showed up at the club where Christophers driver was, I assumed Chris was there.
Also, it's really hitting home, what a hardcore act it was for Chris to turn his fiance in to get whacked. Can you imagine Tony having Carm killed? yikes.

As Christopher said, she couldn't do 5 years time, and instead becomes a a snitch?

She deserved it!

There have been better Sopranos shows, but the resounding fact with the Sopranos is not the one-show fireworks, but the development of story and characters over time.

I've had a hard time deciding whether or not I liked these people. The characters have always been interesting, but I'm always trying to find a reason to like these people. They all have their moments, or their traits that can make them endearing, but the bottom line is they are all guilty of devious acts, demented thinking and selective ignorance as to who they are and what they do.

I used to think Tony S. was admirable because here was a man who could have or do anything. He could have people killed on a whim, he could extract vengence on his enemies, he could bed any woman he desired (well, almost), yet he seemed to have a core sense of family and honesty that governed his business dealings. Here was a man that could explode at any moment, even at a close family member...yet could be brought to tears over the death of a horse.

The bottom line is these people are predators; they survive and prosper by feeding off their own race. Tony S. is a master businessman in the weaknesses of the human race (gambling, drugs, sex).

If something within the chain of command or their source of business is deemed risky to the overall health of the "family", the financial benefits are weighed, the choices are made and the "parts" that don't fit/work are eliminated.

It makes for great politics and thoughts on the human race (especially in America); Christopher choosing his H2 over Adriana, Carmela choosing comfort over living an honest life, Meadow using her parents as both a source of her "angst" and her comfortable lifestyle...

I only hope the next season isn't delayed as long as I've heard it might be.
