2nd Lt. Carwood Lipton was played by Donnie Walhberg in Band of Brothers, Donnie Walhberg was a New Kids On the Block! The very thing that the Backstreet Boys was based on!

Copy good performance by Donnie. Actually, I thought the performance of just about everyone in the series was solid. I never thought of them as actors as much as I did soldiers, even David Schwimmer whom everyone knows from TV (and maybe Ron Livingston from Office Space would be familiar to some people). I think for those types of roles you can't have too big of a name, such as Ben Affleck in Pearl Harbor. When I saw him on screen in that movie, I was still seeing more of Ben and not the character he played.

On a related note, when watching the credits for part 2 of the series (Day of Days I think?), I could have swore I saw Mark Wahlberg's name next to Donnie's. I think it said he was a bomber pilot or something for that episode, but I never went back to check again. Did anyone else catch that or was I just hallucinating?

What surprised me was how many of the cast were English, some I didn't even realise until I watched the special features.

Yeah, I thought Fallon would have more of a role but he just drives up in his little ammo jeep, unloads, and leaves while Easy goes out to die in the forest.

I've know that it was Donnie Wahlburg from New Kids on the Block for a long time, but I didn't put it together right away. I think he did a great job. His was one of my favorite characters and I thought the episode that focused on him was one of the best.

He was also very good in Boomtown, done by many of the same producers and actors from BoB. Like most good shows, it was canceled.

Donnie Wahlburg was also in "The Sixth Sense"; as the junkie, Vincent, who shot Bruce Willis in the beginning of the movie. That's when I first realized he had a promising career ahead as a great actor. He also starred once again beside Damian Lewis (Major Richard Winters in Band of Brothers) in the movie adaptation of Stephen King's "Dreamcatcher." Wahlburg played Duddets and Lewis played Jonesey. I thought they were both incerdible in it, even though the movie as a whole was not very good. Lewis essentialy played two roles since he was infected by an alien symbiote and fighting for control of his mind and body. Watching him chew up the scenery and speak in the over-the-top British accent when the alien had control was the best part of the movie.

Wahlberg was also the 'nice hearted' kindnapper in Ransom. I thought that role showed a promising career. I do not see him coming out of his brothers shadow, however.
