Downloading MP3s

Off topic, but don't go too far overboard - after all, we are watching...heh.

My whole take on downloading is its fine if used to hear what a new band sounds like, or see if you like the new xxx album before buying it. Its a great tool.

If you find you like the band / album, or already know you like it, just go buy it. I love how people think these musicians work hard and stress over making their 'product' perfect just so you can have it for free; giving you an hour of music you can listen to over and over for your whole lifetime.

If you only like a few songs of a band, may I suggest listening to bands that dont suck? :D Then I can still see you downloading. Why buy an album if you like shitty bands with one good song?

Its those who download album after album that I just want to strangle.

Its simple. The CD's (software and dvd's too) are easy to copy, but it doesn't make them your god-given birth right to have. If you cant afford 300CD's, you shouldn't have them.

I would love a ferrarri. I should get one for free! Why? Because I want it. WAAAAAAAAAAAA

And spare me the violin icon. People who have 40gigs of downloaded music have no problem buying thousands of dollars on computer gear and ipod + accessories, but wont spend $10-15 for a CD of a bands heart and soul that gives them monumentous amounts of entertainment.

I don't download music (legally or otherwise), nor do I fileshare, but there are ways to avoid detection by RIAA and MPAA. It's just that 90%+ of filesharers don't bother and figure they won't be singled out.

They aren't supposed to install malicious software via any method, but I suspect they are.
