Ivan is set up to beat the living crap out of what looks to be either the Florida Panhandle or the LA coast.

Goodbye New Orleans, we barely knew you.

New Orleans is actually roughly 16 feet under sea level as its built on top of soft sediment and is slowly sinking. Although the city has an incredible pumping system it could be overwhelmed by a CAT 5 storm.

Could be? A cat5 would destroy New Orleans.

The wife is in New Orleans right now on her way to the airport to try to get back to Boston. She said people are driving to Houston and Memphis to catch flights home.

I hope this storm gets rid of that dog shit smell around Bourbon Street and I can just imagine what will happen to all those above ground graveyards
