Hey, anyone ever use the King Oath's Sword?
It's a 2 handed long sword, it's really beasty, but the magnitude of the fire dmage it causes it so great that for everytime I hit the enemy I take 20 fire damage over some 30 seconds ( I think) ANd many times trying to use that sword has killed me, even though I defeat enemies in record time.

Is there any armor with a constant effect enchantment which would give me fire resistance?!

My current armor class is 138 I think
I have high ordinator armor (Which I stole from a dead guard in the tribunal quest where that lady goes cukoo) and soucan's curias, which ups my HP from the max which is currently 202 to 252.

AT that HP is doesn't take long to killmyself.
>.o

If I could get fire resistance it would be great to use my king's oath instead of my favored (for the moent) icicle and poison steel sword (Which I use to start fights from afar)

Also is there anyone in the game who can train my charcter's block and long sword level to the max?! I have looked everywhere but can find no one!
My current longsword level is 93 or 94 (can't remember which)
And my block level I think is in the 87 range.

I really want to get those 2 skills up if I won't be using my king's oath sword because I want to kill the atmers in the goblin quest, and I was told one of the atmers have a block skill of 100!

(I am level 23 right now, a male redguard, and my stregnth is maxed at 100)

If you would have asked me a year or two ago when I played it, I could have told you.

Haven't touched the game since I beat it though, and I can't remember that kind of stuff.

Awesome game.

Oh yeha, anyone know where I can find someone to train my guys heavy armor skill? I use mainly heavy armor, and doesn't a higher skill in armor raise your armor class? I thin that would help. As I don't think I would stand much a chance against a horde of goblins 2 lvl 50 atmers and a few durzogs xP

The Block master trainer is a female Imperial Soldier outside of Ft. Buckmoth. She can train you up to L99, if you have enough of the prerequisite ability (either strength or agility, can't remember). If you have enough money (doubtful) you can pay an enchanter to create an item with constant effect of fire resistance, or you can try and enchant one yourself. Enchant success depends largely on Intelegence so you can drink a buch of potions to increase your intelegence before you try. Only very high quality items have enough room for a constant effect abilty, and only a grand soul gem with a winged twilight or ascended sleeper soul can power constant effect items.

How do you use soul gems?

I have seen soul gems of rats and goblins but I don't know how to put a soul into it. >.<

You can buy them (very expensive) or you can get an empty one and trap a soul. Empty gems can be stolen from many Alchemist/magic shops and also from the homes of mages. To fill it with a soul, you need a spell called soul trap. It's usually best to have someone create it for you, make it ranged and last for at least 30 seconds. You hit a creature with it, then when you kill it it is trapped in the lowest quality soul gem you have, i.e. if you have a common gem and a grand gem and kill a cliff racer it will be trapped in the common one. Be careful not to only have a high quality gem and kill something low, because it would be a great wast. Grand gems should be saved for winged twilights if possible, as they have the most power. Once you have a soul trapped, you can use it to recharge an enchanted weapon or item, or you can use your enchant ability to try and create your own enchanted items. Make sure you save first, because it often doesn't work and the gem is destroyed.

O!

That explains it, I cought a whole bunch of scrolls that cause paralysys and soul trap for 30 seconds. ANd wondered what the soul trpa did!!

Could OI soul trap the atmers?! THey are lvl 50, and wouldn't they be great for soul gems?

You can't soul trap any of the races you can play, so basically no humanoids, but you can get Daedra, like Hunger's, Scamps, Ogrims and such. BTW: there are tons of player made mods that make the game much more fun IMO. The best was one that added in a vendor at the entrance to every temple and fort. These vendors had about 200k gold, so you could sell valuable items for their actual value instead of selling a 80k gold sword and getting 4k for it.

But that would take all the fun out of over-encumbing myself, using my special ability for a 60 second stregnth boost, resting for 25 hours and then repeating. :D

ANd BTW I LOVE the packrats. They are so cute. ^_^
