great price on a great sub

Postby JimmyTango » Sat Oct 30, 2004 2:35 pm

CompUSA is clearing out their HSU STF-2 subs.

Yes, I know, CompUSA for a subwoofer?

HSU is an internet direct company who makes excellent subs for the money( http://www.hsuresearch.com ).

CompUSA had purchased the Good Guys chain, which does sell some higher end audio products. CompUSA had looked to expand out of just computers after this purchase, and selling HSU subs was a first step.

Looks like CompUSA may be second guessing this, and they are clearing out the STF-2 for only $199. It is robbery at these prices. If you are looking for a sub for your stereo or home theater, go to CompUSA and see if they have any left.

I own this sub, and got it drirect from HSU when it was first released at $399. This small $400 buck sub easly keeps pace with my $900 main speakers and $3,000 worth of home theater equipment, it is that good of a 'bang for the buck' deal.

I am half tempted to pick up a second one for $200.

You know one of those mini-2man-Jap subs would be really cool. Take it to the lake.

Do pretend torpedo runs on fishing boats. Crap like that.

Well, these have been selling through fast. Some are even getting the demo's for as low as $150.

I am thinking of going and getting the last two at the CompUSA near me. I figure one for the LFE channel, and the other two cossed over at 60 with my mains. Should be interesting.

Seriously, if you need a sub for your stereo or home theater, this will be a huge improvement over most subs. Even at retail of $400 these things compared nicely to $1,000 subs.

BTW, these are selling for around $300 used on eBay.
