Off topic, but don't go too far overboard - after all, we are watching...heh.

You obviously have no idea just how many people use it. People from lazy bums to corporate managers smoke it. Not everybody who smokes pot is stupid and unmotivated, or unsucessful.

You'd be surprised who you probably know / work with ect that smoke it.

On the contrary, I know exactly how many people use it in my school. See, in my school the RCMP have brought dogs out to search lockers. We now have a private security company that will be doing drug sweeps 2-3 times per year from here on out. If you lived in Canada, you might have even seen this on the news.

Hence the number 85%. I know how many kids got busted...I teach (or have taught) almost all of them....I know their grades, work habits, motivations, etc. 85% of them are lazy, do-nothing, gonna-live-in-mom-and-dad's-basement-till-they're-30-while-working-a-McJob losers.

Prior to becoming a teacher, I owned my own business. A courier company to be exact. In the 8 years I ran the company, I had maybe 30 employees total. In that time, I fired 4. 3 of the 4 firings were drug-related.

Prior to owning a business, I was a struggling musician. I played in a band. The band smoked pot. The people who were around the band (management, groupies, etc) also smoked pot. Hell, I smoked pot. I am intimately aware that *anyone* can be part of the pot smoking crowd. From experience, I can tell you the band went nowhere, and neither did the management, or the hang-arounds. I no longer smoke pot. I'm doing well in a professional career. I can't say that for my still-smoking ex-bandmates.

So certainly, there are some people who smoke pot that are successful. The vast majority are not. For the record, I do know one teacher I work with that smokes pot....and he is probably the worst excuse for a responsible adult in my profession that I've ever come across.

I see the need for stoners in our society though. I mean, I still need someone to pump my gas and bag my groceries...pick up the dog shit on my lawn....there's a place for them, don't get me wrong. That place is just the bottom of the food chain.

Hahahaha :D
