media Player 10 totally f'ed up my system, I can't uninstall or re install it. My old media player still works ok but anyone know any other players I can use to view video files other than media player?

Some of the new vids I get wont play in media player 9 or winamp player.

Try Quicktime or Realplayer. You can get free versions of both.

I use Winamp 5

Also if you have a vid that isn't playing make sure you have the DIVX codec installed.

google divx for the free codec.

Are you running XP? Could you back up to a restore point prior to WMP 10?

Yeah, make sure you have the proper codec for the video.

Stick with version 9 if possible.

I tried version 10 a couple of months ago and I had problems as well.

the only problem I have with version 10 is that it sometimes when I want to watch a movie it runs the music, but not the images.
Had no problem with (un)install....for now.

That is a good thing, because I know allot of music videos people make, I don't hazve the codec for, it goes ahead and plays the audio without a warning message popup. :)
If you want to get the codec it should run perfectly.
(Never had a problem with WMP10, I liked itmore than WMP9)

I use mp10 everyday. I like the auto playlist function as you can listen to podcasts with mp10. I would suggest codec's first.
