What was the best 80's film?

Off topic, but don't go too far overboard - after all, we are watching...heh.

Thankfully, being born in 1982 I missed most of the 80s (hate spandex, hate the music, hate the videos, hate the hair/makeup....)

but there are some real classics from the 80s.......

The Shining <-- :D
Stand By Me
Uncle Buck
Of course ET and Ghostbusters ( I still have the nintendo game )

Anyone remember Labrynth? LOL.... oh, David Bowie...you're such a weirdo. Or Willow.....Never ending story.....

Princess Bride.... I read the book before I saw the movie.... and the book has way more elements to it .... the movie doesn't even justify a fraction of the book.
