Steam does suck.

How much you wanna bet, the 30k banned all are the same smacktard who got banned the first time around? I mean you can just make a new account, do the hack so you can play SP and not let steam connect again and you have the SP for life, next tkime it connects you loose it, but then you just rehack it.
