Sooooo I needed to know what to buy in the chrismas sales and as a result devised a way of getting recommendations from you lot. Basically just put the top 5 film/books/albums you have bought/watched in the last year (not necessarily made in the last year) so's I know what is good.

Here are mine(in no particular order):

Albums:

Greenday - American Idiot
The Coral - Magic and Medicine

The Killers - Hot Fuss

Books:

American scream - the Bill Hick Biography.
Phillip Pullman - His dark materials trillogy
Ward Moore - Bring the Jubilee
Iain Banks -A Song of Stone
George Orwell - 1984 (gets scarier by the year)

Films:

Grand theft Parsons
Lord of the Rings (extended edition)
Shaun of The Dead (Yes I meant to type Shaun)
Hero (don't delay! Buy this today)
Spiderman 2 (almost lived up to the hype :))

(There were others I can't remember, List may be revised)
