the promedia 2.1s are very nice. i bought them as a gift a couple years ago. just watch out for the sometimes fragile cabling. jimmy is right about klipsch's use of horns but they do make bf sound impressive.

these are simple to hook up to your computer...very easy and the quality os good...you won't be disappointed.

sorry red, I just went and read it. Personally, 5.1 works for me over a pair of speakers and a sub, but I bet that you will be really pleased.
