My apologies Devil if our intent was misunderstood. HOT's goal is competition Battlefield, and I believe we are no more a conflict of interest for HOT members who belong to the ECGN community then Glory of War members who also belong in good standing with the ECGN community. It has always been a source of pride at HOT to be on excellent terms with the ECGN community and the fine folks who run this place.

We certainly have never attempted or schemed to deprive ECGN of regs. Back when HOT was originally formed we started playing on the ECGN server and found the competition and calibar of folks (in and out of the game) to be excellent. We developed many lasting friendship, and they were quite a few ECGNers who joined HOT for competition play when they found out about what we were intending to do. It may also have been a matter of being in the right place at the right time as Fat Bastard, Crypt and others had worked to build ECGN competition teams, however they lacked the organization resources, servers & other basic needs to compete. HOT, as a team, has been extremely successful in competition'42 (earning more than a few good write-ups for the talent at ECGN in the process) and I believe nearly anyone connected with us and ECGN can attest that our drive to suceed in no way takes presidence over having fun with a friendly atmosphere.

In this case, myself and Buli have been working over at HOT to build a Desert Combat team, and thought it be good to inform any intersted folks of our intent. I very much apologize if this action has been precieved poorly and in the future we shall work to make sure such a mis-understanding does not occur again.

Pupshark, there's no doubt about your good intentions. It's simply a case of inadvertently pouring oil on an already burning fire. Bad timing. I wish you well with your DC team.
