Big Sports Trading Day
For two of my favorite teams.
First: Raiders and Vikings agree in principle to send Randy Moss to Oakland for LB Napolean Harris, the Raiders' first round draft pick (7th overall), and a late round pick. A good trade for both teams - Raiders get another deep threat, which is good with Kerry Collins at QB. Vikings get an underachieving LB with good potential and a chance to draft a big receiver (Mike Williams maybe) to go with their speedy receivers.
Second: Sacramento Kings trade Chris Webber, Matt Barnes, and Michael Bradley to the Philadelphia 76ers for Brian Skinner, Kenny Thomas, and Corliss Williamson. I don't like this one. The salaries are very comparable. All of the players that the Kings received have long-term contracts. Both Webber and Barnes had double-doubles yesterday. Maybe the Kings are trying to become more athletic to compare with the Suns, Mavs, and Sonics...? Should be good for Philly.

Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he'll sit in the boat and drink beer all day...
I am not sure if the Vikes trade is that great either. Personaly I like the fact that he will be running over someone else's meter maids. We were not hurting for cap reasons at all, we had $31 million already to play with before he left. Rumors here are that we will go with a defensive player with the 1st round pick and try and pick up a free agent receiver with the cap money.

My initial reaction to the Sacramento-76ers trade was what the hell were the Kings thinking? Last year the Kings were great while Webber was out with his knee injuries and when he came back, he disrupted the flow of the offense and everyone's game(Bibby, B. Miller, Peja).
The Atlantic divison is horrible. The 76ers are below .500 yet they are in first place of the divison.
With Webber they will win the division but will not go far in the playoffs.
