Death Penalty

Postby BallBuster » Sun Mar 20, 2005 3:23 pm

According to current facts, it costs $1,448,935 to keep a person
on death row. By the same token it cost MORE to actually execute
them about $2,087,926. This is because of all the extra trial
bull shit to protect these scum bags

My thought is when you have a complete clear cut case that
these ass wipes should get the FAST TRACK to execution.
None of this sitting on death row for years.

When someone was witnessed killing, like the recent
events where a prisioner took a bailiffs weapon
and killed the judge and a few others in front of
witnesses, there should BE NO LENGHTY TRIAL.
The trial shouldn't take more than a few days
followed by an execution within a month or two.

The same goes for the SCUM BAG who just kidnapped and
killed the little girl in Ohio. He confessed to the killing
and led the police to where he buried her.

For instances like this, why should we have drawn out trials?
Wrap it up in 1-2 months and EXECUTE THEM

Only problem is when the defense finds something wrong that happened in the trial and the trial can be redeclared as a mistrial and the prisoner freed..

Yeah, when it's clear cut, give it a fast track. If the defense comes up with some argument or angle, kick it straight to whatever panel of judges reviews this, pre-empt whatever they were doing, give their judgement on it immediately. The only other thing I would change is the argument for it. People argue the whole deterrent thing. Don't bother it doesn't deter. Officially support the death penalty as nothing more than Justice. When opponents say why execute the guy who killed the little girl? The response should be because the majority of us will feel better knowing he died at our hands, that justice was served. I feel better about life if that guy is afraid to die, begs for mercy, then get's executed. Simple enough.

I have two ideas

First one, get rid of the chair all together. We should have a set of electric bleachers so you could fry 10 or 12 at the same time.

Second, this would solve the huge cost problem among other things. Take all the people on death row; assign them a number 00, thru 99. Once a month have a national lottery. Draw six numbers, someone wins a million dollars, the waiting list gets smaller by six.

maybe they could hang a noose or have a cyonide pill accessible in every room. that way the prisoner could choose to go ahead and get it over with any time he wants. I'm sure a few would opt to get out early.

We just need cops like Judge Dredd.

Judge, jury and executioner all in one. Talk about efficient.
