Off topic, but don't go too far overboard - after all, we are watching...heh.

Sounds very cool, but so little info is available. And yeah, why pay a monthly fee when I can play BF for free? :D

I have been watching the development of PS for the last few months. I like almost everything I have heard so far. I will probably get it if the monthly fee is low. Anything over $10 a month and I won't. Just too po to pay more :( A persistant world where I can develop my soldier during the course of my play AND play vs other people? Sounds nice.

I dunno. From what I've seen it looks a hella lot like Tribes 2... cept pay to play and on a grander scale. I do like the whole 'faction territory' aspect tho. Your faction holds control over as much land/bases as you can keep and since it's an ongoing world you would have to have international players to defend while your working/sleeping. Also having all-out battles of possibly thousands of players would give new meaning to the word online-war. Dunno if the game is gonna be diverse enuf to justify $10 a month opposed to Tribe's online play cost of: free.

The standard low fee is $12.95 with most MMORPGS now, SWG may be the exception starting at $19 :)

Those monthly fees are bloody killers. Some of the upcoming games I'm most interested in conceptually are MMO games. I'd love to play them as single player or multiplayer games, but the fact that they're going to charge for them every month makes them off limits for me currently.

Gotta pay those bills and buy groceries first, games second.
