Thing I love about my gmail account is I can keep all messages and get to search through them with the power of google.

So far I've only had one call with Google talk, and it was probably the best one-on-one voip software I've used. There aren't any special features, it just works and the sound quality was perfect right off the bat.

As for instant messaging, I really like the way the google talk windows organize themselves to keep from cluttering your desktop. Besides that, there aren't really any other features.

The interface is pretty bare - just like you would expect a google product to be. No ads, not crapload of buttons you'll never click, no MSN or AOL TODAY. It's simply voip and instant messaging between gmail users, and it does it well.
