i would have to disagree ... to a point.
I don't ever know the show before Stewart, So I don't know who he replaced BUT since i've been watching him, the shows popularity has grown and GROWN!!! And i would bet to say a majority ECGN members would tend to agree with me. - i assume.

Doesn't change he was much better than Stewart.
Sadly, since leaving his career hasn't been as good. Much liek all the hosts of Talk Soup except for the original host(and best) Greg Kinnear.
Letterman hand picked Kilborn to helm the Late Late Show, but it never was that good of a show.
Everything he did before leaving The Daily Show was gold, he was the best sportscaster when he was on ESPN. Everything after leaving has been average at best.
