Lange from EA, where they see the industry going

Postby Hunter/Killer » Fri May 05, 2006 2:27 pm

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12597148/page/2/

"Chip Lange, vice president of marketing for Electronic Arts Inc. — the world’s largest game publisher — said game makers will have to forge stronger, ongoing relationships with customers who are going to expect more games that are delivered as a series of chapters, downloadable items and other features."

And have to pay more for each one!

So when are they going to start?

Our research shows our gamers really like to customize things.

EA apparently has not realized this in respect to BF2.

That entire sentence is like the Senators in The History of the World... 'Bullshit bullshit bullshit bullshit.... more bullshit..'

I KNEW that was where they were going with this and I complained about it. Some people didn't get it back then. Pay for play is the model these companies are all going to go to if we let them. :( All it means is they get more money for the same crap. It doesn't mean they actually provide more product. It just means we pay for stuff we would have gotten for free in the past.

Jaimz Woolvett (The Schofield Kid): Yeah, well, I guess he had it comin'.
Clint Eastwood (Munny): We all got it comin', kid.

Ok thats it, I should just go buy Battlefield1942 and play that rather than BF2.
