Cool idea, setting up a neighborhood to look like Hobbiton, or Dicken's era England or even France.
If your in to that sort of thing, it beats the cookie cutter neighborhoods springing up everywhere.

Bend, Oregon is a beautiful place with great weather. I visited once a few years back and was very impressed with the natural landscape and climate. The air is dry and while they get a lot of snow, it's not the icy, wet kind. The summers have little rainfall. Most of the rain falls on the west coast of the state before the clouds have to climb over the western mountain range (not sure of the name).
I like this idea of housing but the prices seem a little outragous.. especially for this area where people from CA move to get away from the crowds and get a little more for thier bucks.
