Yeah. I'd have to agree with that statement. I really didn't find it that funny at all. Just seemed like a racist and steotypical movie, not a comedy. I actually give props to the russians for not allowing this movie to play.

He's not making fun of the Khazakstanis so much as he's making fun of western stereotyping of other countries. That's kind of the point. Also he goes on to make americans look damn silly and they don't call him on what he's saying becasue they actually think that this is what his culture is like.

If you asked most people about any of those former soviet states I bet at least half of them would mention goatherders. It's almost too easy...

I'm not intentionally "bashing" the movie. Some parts were sort of funny. I'm just stating my opinion. My father was Russian, but I don't think he would have liked watching the movie at all. It’s like some people of color don’t mind being called certain thing that other would find really offensive. To each his own tho. That’s what makes America so fun to live in, so much diversity.
