My 2 cents.....

A tazer shouldn't have been used that many times. Especially with that many bystanders around. Half of those kids were about ready to kick some Cop ass if they did it more. They could have incented a riot, and it was extremely poor judgement on the cops' part. The precinct prolly got their tazer like a week or so ago and are trigger happy to use it. The situation was just grossly handled wrong. Technology is turning the police force into panzies. Get some more muscle and less fat and do the job right.

Also the fact that the cop wanted to taz some one who was simply arguing with him(at the end of the clip)? His ass needs to be suspended for simply making that threat.

Anyway I have my for's and against arguments dealing with tazers. They will be fine until they tazer the wrong person and end up killing them cuz it screwed with their heart and then they will be banned.... Only a matter of time I assume.

I agree with how a cop should be talked to, however, too many stories have been heard and are known about bad, crooked, and power hungry cops that it has had an effect after so long.

Anyway those are just some thoughts of mine. I wasn't there so all I could comment on is what I saw from the video and nothing else.

I'll take another shot: the kid was harmless, handcuffed. Taser or drag? dragging is quick, easy, painless, and much much less of a spectacle. It doesn't fire up the crowd. A wise police officer would have taken the easy route and dragged him out there, simple enough, no muss no fuss.
An idiot makes the huge spectacle, gets the kid screaming bloody murder, and takes a chance of inciting a riot, maybe a lawsuit (regardless of how it turns out)..and for what? They could have just dragged the kid.

It's the difference between a cop that knows what he's doing, and one who doesn't.
