If you like that kind of thing, try to find 'Triumph of the Nerds', orginally aired on PBS, or a book called 'Fire in the Valley'--I think the author is Freiberg. Great insiders views of the birth of the PC and gaming in general. It will make you sad that you weren't there, weren't a part of it. Just average Joes taking the initiative to create stuff they wanted because no major companies were doing it.
