Guess what, by appearing on the 'Judge Judy' show and not in a real court, the contestants agree to a waive a real court case. The outcome of the case, the judgements, are paid for by the show. So, the scam artist agrees to be on the show, along with the ebay bidders, and in exchange the show will pay the 'judgement' for her.

So basically the scam artist is getting out of this for free, all she has to do is get yelled at by some old lady on daytime TV. Whole thing probably took two hours, relieved her of having to pay $5000 in a real court of law.
No justice to be had here!
