We have ways of wasting money that would blow your mind. The only way to stop it at this point would be to burn Washington (along with all the politicians) right to the ground and start over. We had some politicians attempt to spend $315 million building a bridge that would connect an island with a whopping 50 residents to the nearby coast. $315 million for 50 people? The bridge would have been longer than the Golden Gate bridge and would have replaced a 7 minute ferry ride that cost the passengers $6 per car.
