I think this game will have the problem of burnout... unlike BF1942, there are no winners. You take a base one day, lose it the next. Its like, "Woo-hoo, we took it! We'll have to take it tomorrow, and the day after that and..."

As for the bugs, i've have less CTD's and lockups, but they still happen. A game should never be released with showstoppers like that. I don't mind a game being a bit unbalanced upon release (Look at BF1942. 4 patches and they are still messing with it) but CTDs and, god forbid, lockups, are totally inexsucable in a game that I pay for the pleasure of owning the CD, much less pay to play.

Yeah that is a good point amwhere but if u think about it PS is more of an rpg than bf1942 losing that base u captured today will allow u to gain more exp the next time u cap it, its a never ending cycle of exp for the rpg part of the game

If you try playing a different continent everyday it makes the game a bit more interesting and takes away the feeling of "we need to take this base again"

Planetside came out the other day... I thought it looks promising... I don't know about the monthly fee thing, though...

Did anybody buy it? And if so, what do you think of it?

I was beta tester and i bought the game, if u buy it now it comes with first month free subscription and only 13 or 14 a month after. I think its worth it as it is the best game i have ever played

14 bucks a month? Jesus, that's $168 a year!

Pass... until someone figures out how to hack their account system.... :D

I like the game concept. But there are two things that concern me. The first is the monthly fee. Even $9.95 a month seems high, and I believe they are charging more than that. The other is how many regulars will be using teamspeak. I've lost interest in playing online games without quality voice chat. Ever since the beta ended I haven't seen any of the ECGN regulars in that channel.

If we had a group of ECGN regulars all playing, I would most likely jump on that band wagon. But right now I am content with playing Battlefield and Raven Shield.
