Gta Vice City Multiplayer Patch???

hey guys, i recently bought, yes bought 
GTA Vice City after it hit the shelves for PC. Definitely one of the best overall games I've played in awhile!! But the question is, I know someone came out with a patch for GTA 3 for a multiplayer add-on, anbd as far as vice city, has anyone heard anything about a multiplayer patch coming out officially or submitted by a user??

I doubt there will even be a mod for Vice City MP.
Why? Well you see Rockstar worked for a time to have multiplayer in GTA III, which as we know was scrapped. However the unfinnished multiplayer code was left mostly intact, allowing modders to finnish and even tweak it.
GTA Vice City, however, was never meant to support multiplayer. So any modder that wants to make a Vice City MP mod will have to create the code from the ground-up, as they won't have the luxury of working with an unfinished code left over from rockstar.

d'oh! could the code that rockstar left in GTA3 relevant to GTA VC? Cuz someone told me it could be used for the same patch cuz the coding woul work with VC, but then again the person I talked to likes to think he knows everything, so ya know how those people go lol
