'I hate to bring this up, but tonight on ESPN Classic they are showing the 1991 final....8-0 Pittsburgh'
You needed ESPN classic to see that, why isn't it on VHS ?
Though I was torn between who I wanted to win, since the North Stars were a fav team, how can't you enjoy watching the greatest player ever burn Jon Casey like a rented mule.
The only thing I've seen better than that was a year later when he used and abused one of the greatest defensemen ever then toasted Andy Moog.
Any Devil fans here ? I seem to remember a December 31 game.
As to Sosa, I want to see that * next to his name where it shows suspended for using a corked bat.

missed the steroid part of the thread...needed to refresh..
hell let them use what ever the hell they want...they are pros!
facts are that if you use something to enhance it shortens your career...It will be quite a while before someone catches Aaron or Petty or Gretsky or Wilt or Payton and the likes...
Got to still be playing in the 4th quarter baby!

Can't say I agree. I teach high school and when these drugs are being used be the pros.. the kids think that they are required to be able to compete. There are a lot of kids taking steriods.
Also,
Aaron record is going to be passed by several people.
Petty's won't because they don't race anyway near as many races as they did bakc then, and in each race the field is full of top competition... no more beating up on losers to count as wins.
Gretsky... was a god....
Payton... was passed last year.

Can't compare Petty's amoubnt of wins to current day wins.
He ran more than 1 race a week, and he also went to tracks with a factory backed car against people who ran on their own.
Add in the fact NASCAR is all templates nowadays, it's going to be a rare thing to see someone win 10 races, let alone 5 every year
