AMD of course. They may run hotter than Intels, but they are faster raw speed wise.

They both do the same thing differently. It is simply two different approaches. Currently, I prefer Intel's. Their overclockability make them the best deal. I am nto brand specific. I buy what I feel is the best deal when i look to upgrade.

Currently have a 2.4C running at 3.4.

Buli, overclock that 3.0C!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rather vauge topic....I mean, AMD is _____ than Intel (or vice versa) at _____.......like AMD is hotter than Intel, or Intel is wealthier than AMD, or Intel's tend to o/c better, or.......you get the idea.

I didnt vote cause I go with the best price/perf. when I upgrade PC.

A beautiful segue back on topic! :)

What sorts of probs have you had? Just curious, as I've never heard of people having probs with AMD stuff...

i'm an AMD user, mostly because of price/performance.
my recent cpu history:
celeron 300a overclocked to 450 (it is still running as my
wifes aol surfing computer.)

my gaming machines upgrade history:
Duron 800
althon 1000
althon xp1800
current gaming machine: amd barton xp2600

none of the machines have failed because of cpu problems
yet. (crosses fingers)

I find the P4's to be the best bang for the buck. At stock speeds, no, they are not. Add in their overclocking, and they are.
I have a 2.4C at 3.4 rock stable. I bought it for $150.00 and it was pre-overclocked when the 2.4C's first came out.i do a lot of buying/selling/trading at http://www.hardforum.com If you find a good seller, who does a lot of overclocking, when there are new product launches, you can always find good CPU's that he has bought to fool around with. He will be honest, and tell you how the OC.

Well, after deleting the crap in this thread, were down to only one page.

If you don't have anything to add to the topic on hand, dont post. Simple.
