NBA Playoffs
Am I the only one who is watching these games? Who else out there has a team they are cheering on from the La-Z-Boy?
I am and have been a loyal fan of Sacremento since the Kings moved there. I am hoping they stop trying to play this half court non-sense and get back to putting the points on the board by playing their brand of basketball. Would love to see them go all the way this year, especially after the heartache of seeing C-Webb go out last year... Speaking of playoff injuries Wally = OUCH!!! 3 broken bones in his back. Good thing the T-Wolves picked up additional Players (see the capital "P"?), without whom they would be dead meat right now.
Finals pick - Kings vs Nets would be the bestest!

The NBA has just gone so far downhill, it's not even funny. Only like 3 or 4 teams in the whole league average more than 95 ppg... that would have been the very bottom of the league 15 years ago, when teams were FUN TO WATCH...
Now, you have playoff games ending with scores of like 77 to 71... boring.
Not to mention, I really think the whole thing is rigged. The way they call some of those games is positively CRIMINAL. You cannot convince me otherwise. Also, how the hell is a foul by rookie a foul, and that same foul by a veteran is somehow NOT a foul? And this is accepted common practice? F off.
Until the NBA fixes itself, the NFL is the only sport really worth watching anymore

Like you Rule I miss the days of the "Showtime" Lakers and the type of free flowing game played back then. Sac is on the leading edge of the return of that kind of game play. You are seeing more teams in the West using it these days though, so there is hope... The whole fouling thing is a legit point, but I would rather watch playoff Basketball than any other sport that is currently in season/post-season. Considering the wasteland out there, it's about all I turn the TV on for anymore...

I totally agree with rule.....the nba has fallen flat on its face....the ref's dictate the outcome of every game now....You cant have 70 yr old men running up and down a court whistling fouls that never occur and when they do.....they go blind...I watched the nuggets and wolves game last night and it was interesting until the refs called everything in favor of the wolves....like rule said....its all rigged.....nuggets celtics in finals?? hahaha david stern would shit his pants..

Go Kings!! I just moved a mile away from Arco Arena - home of the Kings. What a great team to watch. I'd bet the Maverick fans think the same about their team.
- Kings vs. Mavs - pretty evenly matched. Since the Mavs broke the slump against the Kings last year, they've pretty much owned them. Until the playoffs that is. My take: Christie and Bibby are the difference right now. Really taking control of Nash and the rookies (except in game 3). Peja slightly over Finley. Nowitski slightly over C-Webb. Divac and Miller slightly over Antoine and Antawn.
- Lakers vs. Houston - zzzz. Actually, have been pretty good games.
- T-Wolves vs. Denver - Nuggets are actually making it fun to watch.
- Spurs vs. Grizz - Hubie Brown did a great job this year. But, clearly WAY overmatched by the Spurs. Watch out for these guys...
Not as much into the East teams, but watch out for Indiana and Detroit. Either could bring the title back to the east this year... The Nets are scrappy, but K-Mart, Jefferson, and Kidd vs. O'Neal, Artest, and Tinsley or Wallace, Wallace, and Billups - I don't see it happening (but what do I know...?)
Anyway, most of the games have been pretty entertaining this year. A lot more even matches than the last couple of years...

Gotta agree with Rule.
Contrast the changes in the NFL with the changes in the NBA and you see two sports going completely opposite ways.
Thank god they slapped down Maurice Clarrett.

its either detroit or indiana out of the east.
its either the kings, spurs, or lakers out of the west.
Im going to say its detroit and san Antonio in the finals.
Detroit wins in 7. The wallaces are just too dominant defensively. This matchup is probably Stern's worst nightmare. The two best defensive teams in the nba finals.

Well, just watched my team lose the series to the Lakers. The Rockets had many opportunities but their inexperience showed big time...very frustrating.
Rule your right about the fouls veteran players get away with & a clear example is Karl Malone.
IMO, the Lakers just look old & Spurs should be able to win that series. I like the Spurs over the Kings In the West Conf. Finals. It doesn't matter who comes out of the East, so my pick is the Spurs.

Bah Sandstorm!
Perhaps you forget who is the number 1 seed in the west!
Of course I do not really care NBA=GAY but I have to show hometown pride
