Kazaa Problems

Postby Mr. Slayer » Sun May 09, 2004 12:28 pm

Ok, I am hoping that somebody on here is getting the same type of problems I'm getting with Kazaa. Whats happens is I will download a music file; then after the download has quickly completed it will play normally just as expected. Then after about 5-30 seconds into the song, the song will stop and almost instantly a very high pitched noise will begin playing. So basically if you are all happy with ur headphones playing or your speakers blasting, when this sound comes on it almost breaks your eardrums!! This same exact thing happens with a HUGE amount of the songs I download but some are still okay. I figured that some total smacktard mixed these bad file into the P2P network and now everyone has them on their machine or something...but I don't know. If anyone is experiencing anything like this with kazaa or kazaa lite please reply this thread. Anyone that knows what is going on with this your help is much appreciated!

It's the RIAA's attempt to stop filesharing. Just don't use kazaa in the first place. It's filled with spyware/fakefiles/viruses etc. kazaa is crap, don't use it. Oh, and if you don't delete those files after you get them, you're part of the problem.

What P2P service would you recommend?

I'd say try "soulseek" I use it for music. It originally started as a program for almost exclusively electronic music. So if you're into techno/trance etc it's really good. Then again you can also find any music with it.

Haven't u guys heard of Kazaa Lite? Basically someone took KAzaa, stripped it of all the ads and spyware, filled it with better stuff (ur user status is always 1000, plus a lot of widely used codecs like AC3, XiViD, etc.). http://www.oldversion.com

Kazaa Lite will not get rid of bad files, it just strips the fat and adds a few bonuses like a high user status.

I stopped Dl'ing music a long time ago only because the quality is piss poor when compared to redbook CD or SACD/DVD-A. I have heard that the RIAA has been doing this with popular artists, however.

I have had that problem b4, but usually it's only because I tried to d/l a file that wasn't top quality. Be sure to check the quality, size, bitrate, duration. Btw, kazaa lite k++ can be found on techtv.com and oldversion.com has a lot of old versions of programs. K++ allows you to turn your search limit to no limit, so you can search for an artist for as long as you want, which allows more results, usually taking about 15 minutes or so. I recommend searching an artist list to find all of the music you want, and may have forgotten about.

Does Poisoned (I assume "Poisioned" was a typo) include spyware?
