Guys and Gals, it's obvious Vid_Restart doesn't like us, so there's no point in getting in a pissing contest with him. We're not going to change his mind, he's not going to change our mind. I asked what his motivations were to make sure I wasn't just misunderstanding his post, it turns out I wasn't. So, just ignore him, let us agree to disagree with him.
SERENITY NOW!!!!!!!!

oh yeah u have to work for them to get to that site. Well it talks about Kaiser Permanente contributing $1 million dollars to help the tsunami victims. 500,000 to Doctors without borders 250,000 to Red Cross and 250,000 Operation USA. Very good donation. They are even asking employees to either donate money or time. Very nice:)

"Tuesday, January 04, 2005—As a result of the overwhelming devastation caused by the Tsunami disaster in Southeast Asia, Rick Wagoner released the following message, in which he encourages GM employees – including those of all GM subsidiaries to act. For those of you, who have requested information on how you can contribute and also receive a match from the General Motors Foundation, please follow the instructions below.
We are all deeply saddened by the thousands of deaths and the massive devastation resulting from the Tsunami disaster in Southeast Asia and Africa last Sunday. To aid in relief efforts, the General Motors Foundation will donate $1 million to the International Response Fund of the American Red Cross. GM will also match contributions made by employees through the GM Global Aid system, up to another $1 million."

It's great to see so much companies, and just normal civilians donate so much money to the people in Asia.
Maybe there is still some good left in the human?

No, I don't like the way you guys think (not that my opinion matters in any way), but a big and rich country, the mightiest country of the world, donates 'only' some millions (which is ok, the amount doesn't matter) and expects gratitude? The whole world is donating, Germany donates over 700 million dollars btw., but expecting gratitude in such a situation is just sad.
That's so damn right:

Actually, I can see some truth to that.
Anyway.... some chick on a radio station here said people are saying this is the closest thing to world peace the world has probably experienced in quite some time ...... i thought that was an interesting statement.

vidRestart, ... America does not want gratitude.. you are taking a post by [hot]denise richards and appying that to all americans as a whole. other that that post, i have not seen one word about gratitude. You have blown it out of proportion. Get the facts.
Don't use this forum as a pulpit to spew your anti'-american rhetoric.
(which is obvious, btw)
thanks.
