It's sad when the Cowboys aren't even the best team in their state.

Regular season record vs each other: Texans 1 Cowboys 0

We have bragging rights 'til 2006.

Ahem... yes I do believe I made some commentary in the other thread of how the Cowboys were going to run into a buzzsaw named the Minnesota Vikings.

Thats one AFC EAST team down. Eagles turn next week.

It was actually a pretty cool day. I'm sitting at home at about 2 O'clock watching BEARS/LIONS and flipping over to RAIDERS/STEELERS waiting for the 3:15 kickoff when my buddy calls me up and says he has 2 free tickets on the lower level 40 yard line. WOOT! I got to sit right up behind Parcells on the Dallas side of the field!

YAHOO!

Now I hope all of you are good football fans and appropriately root for the Panthers come Monday night.:D

Some important statistical information. Half the teams in the NFL are undefeated and the other half haven't won a game yet this year!

I'm down with the Texans- it's gonna be a while before they can be a contender.

I *sniff sniff* still miss the Oilers.
I would agree when it is time for the Texas shoot-out a real game would be going on.

(And Miami, talked to my bud Rick W. the other day, he says high)

What the hell happened to Kurt Warner? He was an excellent quarterback, on a great team (at the time) no less, but he still had the ability to look downfield accurately throw the ball so it hit his receivers in the hands. It seems like after the losing superbowl, all his talent has just drained away. I know he hasn't had as good a team/receivers, but that still doesn't account for all of his meltdown.
Joe Montana was still real good QB when he played for the chiefs, you still see flashes of greatness even though he was clearly on the downslope of his abilities. With Warner, it's like someone hit a switch.

Burn in Hell!:D

There's actually plenty of Packers fan in the Twin Cities but I'm not one of them. I hugely enjoy hacking on them because they are such homers and rubes they can never see flaws in their team. For instance this years version is weak in the secondary and may have a hard time generating a pash rush.

My Vikes may have gotten knocked off by Arizone (grrr) on a 4 and 18 but you smackers got knocked out of the Divisional Playoffs on a 4 and 26! Which hurts more?

This year Minnesota is the Cheese Grater for your Lemon and Spinach cheeseheads!

Glad my bears could help the Lions break they're road losing streak. Nice throw Grossman you asshat.

PACKERS SUCK!!!! Although they always beat us too... :-(

That Jackosnville win was unreal.

You see Eli Manning get crunched by that guy? Loved it, f that little sissy boy.

** Although I need 34 fantasy points from Ahman tonight so 100 yards and 2 touchdowns please.

Don't count the Cowboys out yet... they lost to a damn good Vikings team on their home turf. I'm anxious to see who wins the Minn/Phil game next week.

Jimmy I was suprised to see that too. I hate ND and I hate the fact that they get practically every game televised, but I watch anyway because I want to see them lose. That win just goes to show that if you have a good defense you have a chance in every game. That and a loud ass home crowd helps.

Warner benefited from having a real offensive line. He also benefited from having arguably the best recieving core in Holt and bruce plus having Faulk in the backfield who can run and catch better than most team's number one recievers didnt hurt either.

Maybe he sold his soul to satan for that superbowl win, and brenda came to collect.

Warner still had those weapons when he lost the job too. From what I saw it looked like he broke his pinky or whatever and tried to play with it. I agree with you though, I really don't think Bulger is as good as his stats say.

Great analysis, Geordi. You are right, he did have those weapons when he tailed off. If he would've sat in the middle of last years opener in NY when he fumbled 6 times and had a concussion, he may still would play here in STL. Doesn't matter though, the offensive line here is so-so, so he'd probably get the shit knocked out of him anyway. The rams are in for a disappointing year, and the Giants, well, they have Kurt and Brenda. Looks like its going to be a long season for both teams.
