I know what that feels like, unfortunately. It hurts like a mother#@$$#. I got hit by a car a little more than a year ago. Wasn't fun at all.
What injuries did you come off with?

I got off fairly easy I suppose, all things considered. I was riding my bicycle and got hit head on. The guy didn't stop for a red light as I was expecting him too. He slowed, then turned the corner without stopping. Fortunately, I was wearing my helmet or when my head hit the ground, the dent that was put in my helmet would've been on my head and I would've sustained serious head injuries. As it was, my glasses broke and once again, fortunately, although the stem got jammed into my temple it wasn't pushed in very far. I had to get 5 stitches there but I've healed so well now that the scar is all but invisible.
The major problem was that I was thrown onto my shoulder. I had bruised ribs and my shoulder got re-arranged a bit but nothing was broken. I was in pain for months from my chest and still to this day in my shoulder. Today, a year and a half later, I still do not have full range of motion in my shoulder and it's a bit painful when I reach the end of that range.

So, moral of the story? Don't get hit by a car if you can avoid it. Because even if you're lucky, it still hurts like a son of a bitch for a long time. :P
