Off topic, but don't go too far overboard - after all, we are watching...heh.

that really was a nice toe. I love all the deaths in the first episode. By the way...are they not going to show us scenes for next weeks episode. I dont know if i can take that.

It was more visible on HDTV, but here's a few shots.

If someone will make that clip into mov file I will gladly host it for all to have :D

Here's the clip, like I say it was better in HDTV.

It's a small file, I think less than 1 MB. I'll keep it there for a little while, do with it what you will. Might make a nice animated gif for an avatar.

Thank you!

call me crazy, but I'm thinking they are playing the episodes backwards...................................like a reverse story line anyone agree??????

Took me a minute to wrap my head around what you are saying. So, next show, Tony's not shot yet, we see that guy hasn't gotten his $2 million inheritance yet, etc. Few shows from now we see him (the guy that hung himself) getting busted by the feds.
Interesting idea. I don't think they would do that, but I think it's kinda of a cool idea. Have the rest of the season be Tony's life flashing before his eyes as he lays there dying.

first of all nice clip, thank you

wow, that would be weird in reverse order... cant wait til sunday!!!!

Tue Mar 14, 2006 1:52 pm

Very interesting Idea

That actually makes a lot of sense, could be, and we will have to wait all season to see if he dies from this. If not seems that tony would be in the hospital for a few months at least.

Mar.19, Great episode!
Does it seem like Anthony Jr is going to evolve into his father, take up the family business?
HBO just f*** rules right now, except for this crap show 'Big Love'.

There's no way Tony's son will become like Tony. AJ is a useless, brainless, narcissist punk, and Tony knows this. Deep down he knows his son would be eaten alive by the other families, not to mention his own crew.

I think part of the show's premise is how power weakens and dilutes through the generations. The tried and true generational quandary; the coddled and spoiled 2nd generation (al la Godfather) just don't have what it takes to carry on the family (at least as efficiently as the previous families).

Can everyone agree with me in saying that Meadow is just a bad person? She might be smart and pretty, but she is neither well-meaning or worldly. She might think she's above her family's background, but she's a self-important prima donna who'd be nothing more than another white-trash welfare momma if it wasn't for her family's work, no matter how shady that might be.

My take on last night's episode. Tony's dreaming of his possible life without the family. he can't run from it, he can't change who he is, but he can wonder what life would be like as a "normal citizen". Maybe he's tired of being the bull, tired of looking over his shoulder, tired of worrying about what most likely will become of his family (AND his extended family).

I'm sure the stress of his situation plays on his mind...no matter how strong and controlling his outward appearance might be.

I thought the episode was really slow, hope that give it some "life" next week

What you said about Meadow can be applied to everyone with few exceptions. Take any rich person - subtract the cash and you'll get what you say.

Tony's in purgatory. He's trying to sort through who he is, where he belongs and whether or not he should/can get back home. That's my take on it.

The few times they showed Tony as teen, he seemed just as retarded as his kid. His kid might have something of Tony buried in him. Tony was never a rocket scientist, but it seems like some low level cunningness just came to him at some point in his life. Over time he developed.
Yeah, I do think Tony is in some form of purgatory. It made me think about Jackie April (Tony's friend and the big Mob Boss before him), dying of cancer and leaving a kid (Jackie Jr.) that didn't have quite enough brains to make it.
BTW, that was one horrifying looking gun wound, that thing is a crater, uuugh!
