Honestly, after Tivo, it's probably one of the finest pieces of gadgetry out there. I have a treo700 mobile phone and I'm able to stream video from my house anywhere I am. You should see the looks on peoples faces when they see me watching TV on my phone!
I honestly use this thing every day. Buy it, trust me...it's worth it.

I've come across quite a few people with these things. I've heard they work pretty well, as long as you are on the LAN with the slingbox. Over the internet, forget it.
I'm told watching over the internet is terrible unless you make the window with the video feed super small.

Honestly, the quality very good. You aren't going to get HD...yet...but it's absolutely watchable. I get 30Fps on my cell phone with stereo sound.
