Hello friends... Armed Assault has decided to give a little swag away. Here's the link, in short, they want you to decided where the best place to shoot 3 RGP rockets from (read details carefully). Good luck!

So not much has changed on Armed Assault main page. Found a few differnet screen shots, seem to be making progress in the visual catergory.

Here's one of the islands (Sahrani) they have created (think it's cool they used Google Earth to make it more 'real')

And finally some troops moving behind the cover of an Abrams

Looks like the product is cleaning up nicely.

this game is more of a simulation..if you will. There is no jumping... you go prone you can't do shit till you hit the ground. you have to lead targets and account for drop. You literly climb into vechiles, no jumping and pressing "E". Granted the graphics arent that good, but its more of a "mature" gamers game, no offense. If they could have BF2 graphics and left there mark on realism ... id be so happy i'd probably shit myself.

Realisim even better. Ive always been a fan of realistic games

One of the guys from a group that is eagerly awaiting the game put this "summary" together... it contains alot of things from the original that most likely be in ArmA and probably improved...

BTW..OFP:E is Operation Flashpoint: Elite... a Xbox version of the original PC game

"Though their not done with all animations yet,I wouldn't count on teabagging being ingame,if they keep it true to original OFP then you will need 3 or so second to actually croutch,5 to go prone, you don't just appear standing and suddenly your on the ground, you have to cycle the animation, put your gun on the ground, kneel, get into a prone position and then your done,by which you will have to do the same to get back up.

And theres no such things as jumping

Plus with the three people to one tank, driver, gunner, commander, the driver can keep their eyes focused on the road while the gunner watches other directions, commanders now having machine guns can do that as well but cover other directions.

Provided they keep that somewhat the same as well, commanders won't always have to be turned out of the hatch but will to fire the weapon. Problem is I haven't seen any tank interior, more like OFP:E,which is understandable cause the xbox can only hold so much, but this is PC and I hope they bring them back, hoping its just an issue of WIP..

Anyway, when a commander is 'turned in' basicly the hatch is closed and he/she is nestled in the tank turret, however the mirror optics on the commander station allow him/her to see what lies ahead, you can also use the V or 0 key to get closer and turn around a bit. In OFP:E its as if your zoomed in anyway. That and I love to be the tank crew and see the interior of a vehicle,it gives an even larger feeling of emersion. (oh wait driver had interior on OFP:E) And of course most vehicles had the option to open the direver hatch so you have a larger view, but I prefer to keep him closed, better protection and the gunner can actually move the turret. One of the limitations in OFP:E for some odd reason was if the driver was turned out,the main cannon would center and would be unable to move. I could however understand this,it would be pretty foolish for a driver to have the hatch open when fighting, quickest way to get killed, because even sometimes when your turned in and whatnot you can be killed, all depends on where the enemy gunner is aiming.

As for color, instead of using computer graphics and whatnot it would be nice if they stuck with traditional OFP and made the cover with an actual person in camo with equipment and their weapon."

Looks like good progress. Like the pic of the T72. God I haven't seen one of those since BFV. Happy memories.
