I've played a few of those titles.
The best of that type of game I ever played was Total Annihilation.

Jaimz Woolvett (The Schofield Kid): Yeah, well, I guess he had it comin'.
Clint Eastwood (Munny): We all got it comin', kid.

Yeah I also got Total Annihilation and also the expansion "Core Contingency". Fun games, but they owe their existence to both Command and Comquer: Tiberian Dawn and Command and Conquer: Red Alert. Pretty much most RTS games owe their existence to the C&C series and its creator Westwood Studios.... sigh... was a depressing day when EA bought them. We were lucky when it came to Red Alert 2 cuz Westwood had it moslty done at that point, and obviously Generals was EA's first attempt at making a C&C game.

If they want to make Tiberium Wars successful then they better do it right. Meaning the video cutscenes with somewhat decent actors and a good storyline. Last time I checked EA wasn't that great at the storyline part or with the video cutscenes:confused: .

Total Annihilation was the best RTS in my opinion, 3D units, and massive amounts of different toys to play with, plus boats, planes etc rocked. There will be a somewhat sequel somcing soon, Supremem Commander, now that is what I'm looking forward to.

I second that. I have been a C&C fan ever since the first one, and this is definately going in my collection.

nothing would ever happen in the C&C universe, if it wasn't for the game that started it all Dune 2

F EA, I cried as well when westwood got bought

Best Game in the series was by far the red alert part of it

Dune 2, and C&C is what really got me into gaming, ohhh hack shit Dark Forces, railroad tycoon, any Madden, lol ok every game kept me playing

Yes great promising game, a little head of its time for the go on internet get new units thing, but still couldn't compare to C&C

none of the generals series was any good in comparison to the origonal C&C and Red alert in game play, missions and sound tracks. However im definatelly getting this.
