Anyone see the new Bond?

Off topic, but don't go too far overboard - after all, we are watching...heh.

I am just glad Craig is being praised AND fans seem to be turning out( I heard it is the highest opening day any Bond film has had).

They did this with Dalton in the 80's, bring the Bond of the novels, but fans didn't want it. License to Kill is still one of the best Bond films, right behind From Russia with Love. If On Her Majesty's Secret Service had Connery, it might be considered the greatest Bond film of them all.

Timmothy Dalton one of those Bonds you'd rather forget. I can't even remember that other guy who only did 1 film (thankfully)

Pretty good. Craig nailed it.

The love scenes need to be in the film, this is where his disdainment for women begins, where he starts using them and stays detatched. The torture scene is also where he becomes starts using women, always proving he a man.

They did a very good job starting the series over again, much like Batman Begins did.

I saw it opening night as well. I loved it. Daniel Craig definitely fits the job well. I thought the scene where Bond is chasing the guy with the backpack was pretty sweet. I liked all the shooting too, the gunfire sounded awesome. There was some funny parts too and I couldn't help but laugh out loud.

A must see.

It was a good film, no question. Daniel Craig was brilliant as Bond. BUT, it was not a Bond film, it was too much like a regular action film, and lacked that Bond element. A good film? Yes, a good Bond film, No.

I think it was more a Bond film than some of the others.

Remember, this is going back to the first Bond novel.

Like everyone has said.. it's a new beginning.
