ECGN does have a server up in case you didn't know
sso far there are only a handful of people playing at one time

I've seen that server already. The problem is, it seems like no one on the planet is playing multi. I've checked the in-game browser and ASE during peak hours, and the biggest servers seem to be 24 players, and most aren't even half full.
Of course, it's not totally surprising since the game doesn't provide any major incentive to play multi. THe multi game is the exact same as single-player, the only difference being you can group with other people and chat, and possibly trade commodities. And doing those things doesn't change anything, they're just gimmicks.

Yeah there is no real big incentive to playing online other than the whole gaming with pals. I play on the ECGN server regularly and I think the most I have seen on it at one time was 10 peeps. Still gaming with guys that you can chat with on TS is nice, great way to give the recently dead guy shit

15 hours after i bought the game i got rid of all the alien things and now dicking around in manhantan is there anything other to do then just take up odd jobs?

I haven't played single player much but in multiplayer you can pretty much go anywhere you want..too bad they shut down the FL server because it has been hard to find a good one i went to a couple that looked promising but after playing for several hours and the have the server crash and erase you account it really blows....why don't one of you kiddies get dad's credit card and rent a server form ECGN

uh well its cool but i beat it in 15 hours(you might be able to beat it faster but i was stuck on one part that i kept dieing on) but ya its cool once you beat the story mode you can freelance gain lvls and go to different systems to buy new ships and good stuff ...... i bought it for 50 bucks so if you have the cash the i suggest you buy it
