Superstring,
I bought this a over a month ago from a local dealer.
It is actually cheaper online.
Check out Pricewatch.com.
Asus A7N8X deluxe - $95.93
Athlon XP 2800+ - $160.89
1 gb PC 3200 DDR - $165.99
This comes out to just over $400...remember, no taxes online.

thx man
nice when you can find it local. There's place here in town that's pretty cheap- Unitek, but if they can't compete I'll probably hit pricewatch (newegg's good too)
and- El Cid
Mac's in big trouble IMO
recent ad campaign w/ "switch" ads reported to have failed miserably, and you're right El Cid- none of the games you really want to play will come out on Mac (for at least a year)
it's becoming a system that only professionals in graphics-heavy jobs are using. after a while it's got to start feeling like you bought an old HP or Gateway- b/c you can't upgrade, and can't find 3rd party hardware. just throw it away and order a new one.

Thats one of the problems with Macs. They are not aimed at people who play online games tday. The whole one button mouse thing sucks. Also, at my university the Macs were the only machines available 100% of the time. No less than 60 beautiful g4s' were always resting taking up space while everyone worked on the PC's.
