my living !! Thank God that windows suck and for users !
-
War Stories
- I had a user cleaning her harddrive and deleted the Windows folder. She didn't need it ...
- A VP ask me if I have a spare TI for his home
- I sent a message to all salepeople to update their DATs file and install the newest patches. No one did. Some told me
they only read message for other sale people. There all
got the Shutdown virus and MSblaster
- Person who was takeing a hard drive error and was to busy
for me to look at it or backup the drive. The drive crashed
all data lost !!
- The head of Payroll that need me to fix an ADP problems
when I was working a WAN problem and talked to manager
to have me stop working on WAN problem becouse "no one
was getting pay" So I stopped, fix the ADP problem but now she cannot sent the payroll infor due to the WAN problems.

I can go on and on ....

PS: I like CDW's book Fred, the I.T. guy. I sent some stories

wow, That is why I do not get into Os windows too much... I only use both windows 98 /XP since there is the only way my programs run... I wish we were on those old DOS days , everything ran fine,,, and nice curson on the top left side of screen and a message saying....
Error reading C: disk drive:

abort(A) retry(R) skip(S)

I do not have such knowlegde of handling 150 systems, 500 or whatever but I am the only one in my friends group that fixes all errors and disks blows they make each time... And they only pay me back with beers ....

Whats Windows? I just turn the PC on and head straight for ET. You mean to tell me that computers are used by others for more than just games?:freak:

XP sucks the large brown rear hole. I can't complain too much about Windows2000, to me it is the best POS that MS put out so far. However, if I were to be a victim of the myriad of security holes, I would be mega-pissed.

lmao...xp and 2000 professional are essentially the same operating system. XP was just M$'s attempt at making 2000 prettier and more user friendly.

Except 2K doesn't have XP's "big brother may I pretty please with sugar on top?" activation procedures... making it far superior in my book...

I think the next version of windows is going to have to be delivered by large no-necked italian gentlemen with names like "Guido", "Raoul", and "Big Lou"... these gentlemen will then "supervise" your install, checking all of your posessions for anything remotely illegal ar that smells funny...
