Hey hey hey! Behave now you smackers or else I'll have to open a can of whupping on ya'll, I'll get medieval on your buttocks! :ar15: :ar15:

My desktop is skinned using Windows themes, it 's actually hacked so I can use any themes I want without the Windows.theme signature, I got it from http://www.deviantart.com

Yes i know all about WindowBlinds, but that program takes up a lot of resources. Windows Themes is built in so therefore it does not use any system resources at all unlike WindowBlinds. :D

hmmm sounds interesting

Does it work exactly like windowblinds, for example does it skin everything that windowblinds skins?

--and I don't have a camera to post my rig :(

which is too bad because I just bought a new tower, painted my LCD and my speakers so my system looks awesome!

Agent, what kind of case is yours? I'm starting to look around for such things, and I like the look of that one. Can you point me to a site or something?

Thanks guys..

Shockwave, see for yourself but specifically, yes it does skin everything Windowblinds would but no hogging resources...it's basically a theme for windows using windows themes but without the need of an encoded signature that would make it an official MS theme. If you want, I can send you the files neccessary to have this hack and the theme I have. It comes in 7 versions, all in one file. :)

Here's my desktop, see for yourself, even the cursors are skinned, sounds, everything!

Folic, I bought my case locally, but if you must know my case is made by a manufacturer called Nikao (http://www.nikao.net or .com) and the case model is the Zeus. I know for you guys you have big names like http://www.xoxide.com who have a lot of windowed or modded cases... check there first. The place I got my case locally from is Infonec. (http://www.infonec.com) They're like a 15 min drive from my place. You may probably have one near you too, just gotta look around.

Yeah that extreme chip would be sick as hell, but its so expensive, I'm going 3.06 probabily around christmas but damn, even the regular 3.2 with 512k cache is 600 cheaper I believe.

PM me with a instant messenging contact and i'll be more than gladly to send it to you.

I use MSN mostly btw.

Tool, 3.06? That chip is over a year old man, it's only 533mhz FSB, even if it has HT it doesn't compare to oh say a 2.6C with 800mhz FSB...

Shockwave, don't know, i don't know how to make .theme files... you may find similar ones at deviantart.com though.

Id say the 3.06b is equivalent to the 2.8c. A stock 2.6c wouldnt perform quite as well as a stock 3.06b. The extra FSB isnt enough to make up for 400mhz of processing power.
Now if you are going to overclock then the 2.6c would be better.

I got my wallpaper from Deviantart.com (it's name is L_i_t_h incase you want it), I got the Windowblinds theme from http://www.wincustomize.com (best website for themes) it's called "beacon", and I downloaded the icons which are called "pix office", also from wincustomize.

Combined them all together, to form this kick ass theme. (you have to download iconpackager, and windowblinds) then download DesktopX if you want icons that are animated (my BF1942 icon is from wincustomize, and animates when you put mouse over it)

it takes a while to set it all up, but once you do it looks really good

Hey guys, my new box has the p4 3.06 at 800...

I haven't tweeked it too much yet, but with Hiper Threading off, the 3Dmark (newest version) reached 5755. With HT on, it was about a thousand point lower.
