WTF?! Andy Kaufman ALIVE?

Andy Kaufman only toyed with the idea of faking his death. He never had some elaborate plan he was going to pull off, even if he wasn't felled by lung cancer.

It was his friends and admirers that heard he was thinking of it, and all of a sudden people were claiming it was fact. Kaufman would probably wretch if he knew just how people were dumb enough to think he actually was faking his death.

It's one thing to be fooled by a hoax, it's another to believe the hoax is true for over 20 years.

I think Kaufman would probably laugh at the believers rather than wretch. There're probably a few elements in common between a hoax like this and Elvis sitings.
