I am so dam upset. I took a screenshot of my best moment in RS yet. 5 rounds into Alpine Village on the ISDP server 3 vs. 3. The other team was WeaponX (very scary) DengarX and VirusX. I had 8 kills and 4 deaths. We were only down 3-2. My two teamates were to clowns that actually TKed themsleves fooling around several times. BUT I LOST THE SHOT!!!!

Here is what i did instead. In this server the clan had a couple of good players come over to the green team. They wanted to totally dominate us.... l

The point... I am getting much better at adversarial... and the generic servers are easy. If we get together one night on TS I bet that we can dominate a general server.

Two things:

1) What operating system are you running; and
2) Is it a USB headset?

I've had similar issues and might be able to help.

Are you running Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows ME, or Windows XP? USB is a single rectangual plug for the headset versus two small jacks (one for the mic and one for the headphones).

It could just be that your microphone volume is set really low or off. Check under sound settings in the Control Panel. And also make sure the mute button isn't checked.

Check the Sound Settings in the control panel. It could just be that your microphone is set really low or that it is muted for some reason. Both of these have happened to me. I don't know what makes them reset themselves - but it happens.

Well. I've been fiddling with system, sound, and video settings and have gotten the game running equally well in 1.2 and 1.3. I had some old nvidia files lingering around even after I switched to ATI.

I'd be curious if any of the others who were experiencing poor performance in 1.3 also have ATI Radeon cards. If so, I think its just a matter of a couple settings changes.
