Yeah. My class had to write an essay on a number of things related to abuse in different fields: drug, alcohol, violence, or tobacco. I chose alcohol, but the drug aspect was very interesting when I read other's essays. Gotta post one on here. (My alcohol one is in the get it off your chest section of the {AsB} forum.)

I tried it in University but have not done it since. I say that if you want to do it that is your choice, but for me, I am not interested. I have no problem with those that choose to do it though.

I prefer rum and coke....

After reading this thread I have come to one conclusion. Burningwick just likes to see a debate lookup a bunch of web pages on said topic, insert words longer than 7 letters, and pretend hes a doctor.

Okay... I found it. Give me your opinion.

Alcohol Abuse

Did you know that 31.9% of youths under 18 in Juvenile institutions were under the influence of alcohol at the time of arrest? You as a minor are in grave danger in this corrupt world. As a minor, 30% of you have been heavily pressured to drink. I think that drinking can become initially addictive because of pressure from peers to drink. After being taken control of and dominated by the addictive properties in alcohol, people begin to binge drink at their own free will.
There are many dangers associated with binge drinking. Binge drinking is the consumption of five or more drinks at a time. A whopping 5.1 billion people binge drink in California. To accompany that, alcohol is the leading cause of deaths and injury. As a result, 21,018 traffic collisions in California a few years ago were due to drunk driving. Apparently, you can get seriously harmed from binge drinking.
Alcohol abuse, though regarded by some kids as “cool” is definitely NOT COOL. 35% of all wine coolers in the United States are consumed by under-aged teens. Through a recent survey, 58% people drink when they are upset which can impair their judgment. You are at risk from alcohol contamination.
You can suffer early problems due to alcohol. Alcohol abuse and addiction usually come at around the age of 13. Amazingly, high school students purchase 35% of the beer cans in the nation. As a result, they consume more than 1.1 billion cans of beer.
Evidently, you are most at risk in your youth from childhood addictions. If you start drinking now, it will most definitely lead to later problems. Alcohol is a leading cause of crime, so don’t ruin your life early. Stay alcohol free and you will lead a long, healthy life.
