aha! I was planning to try my thinkpad this week with little nipple in the middle of the keys. I will annouce how it works.

I got the mouse pad and the teflon eel tape today. I installed the tape on all of the pads as you can see from the pictures.
I chose the pad for size, thin-ness and a smoth washable surface.
Let's just say it's slick as shit and I couldn't be happier.
